is a large continent away from the eastern states, and is a perfect destination for a golf trip.
Golf trips to Western Australia normally focus on the courses around the capital city of Perth, or the coastal precinct of Mandurah to the south, or both (The Best of the West).
Sandy beaches line its suburbs, reflecting the typical active outdoors Australian way of life so cherished in this part of the world. In the last few decades the Western Australian mining boom has seen Perth become a business hub for international mining firms.
Golf Courses of Perth
Perth is a perfect destination for an Annual Golf Trip. The weather is generally warm, and perfect for golf- with the Fremantle Doctor (sea breeze) coming in off the Indian Ocean to cool the afternoon play. The beaches and parks are popular, as are the marine activities. A visit to Fremantle is a must. Here you can check out the market, the boutique shopping, the history along the foreshore, or choose from a nice selection of world class restaurants. And of course there is a varied selection of quality golf courses all within a short distance from the CBD.
Set in a an old limestone quarry, sand dunes, and native Australian bush setting, Joondalup Resort features 27 holes of visually dramatic, challenging and ultimately rewarding golf, and is our favourite golfing destination in Western Australia.
Lake Karinyup CC is generally regarded as Western Australia's premier golf course. A private members club, Karinyup has a history of hosting major championships.
Located in the Swan Valley north east of the CBD, The Vines is famous for hosting many international tournaments. And everyone remembers the closing hole on the Lakes nine- the 18th for tournaments- with it's dramatic water carries.
Cottlesloe GC is another private members club with a proud membership and a very good golf course. It's a good test of golf, and if the wind blows you will need to bring your 'A' game! Our groups consistently vote Cottlesloe as one of their favourite courses in W.A.
Royal Fremantle GC is a private members club which offers a real Australian golfing experience to complement the championship courses listed above. The course at Royal Fremantle wanders through rolling terrain framed by gum trees and blackboys, and is shared with kangaroos and other locals!

Set in a rolling parkland terrain featuring ancient Tuart and Gum trees, Meadow Springs is a distinctively Australian golfing experience with typical Robert Trent Jones Jnr call signs- dramatic greens and bunkering
2. The Links at Kennedy Bay
Although the sea is rarely sighted from the course, this is a real scottish influenced hard and fast links style course with revetted pot bunkers. Play it in the wind- it is a wonderful test of golf..
A Graham Marsh design with two distinctly different nines, Secrets is well bunkered and stategically strong. It will suit the thinking golfer!
Located in dramatic dunesland right on the coast, The Cut is probably the first course in the area golfing groups should pencil in.
